Dear AT, Do you have any idea where I can buy nice framed antique prints of fish or botanica - you know, the kind that look slightly scientific or anatomical? My boyfriend loves these, and I want to get a few for his birthday, and I have no idea where to go! There's gotta be a place in New York that's overflowing with these.
Thanks, Jen
This is out of our range, but a quick google image search revealed a few: www.botanical-art-prints.com, www.antiqueprints.com, and www.moosecountry.com. Anyone else? MGR

If you're looking for framed botanical prints, StudioBotanika has a great selection... it's mostly flowers, but there are some bird prints too and the prints are all in nice condition.

Charting Nature, recently showcased in Australian Home & Garden's May 2011 "Decorating Issue", has one of the most expansive collections of fern and botanical prints available. From flowers, fruit and foliage, you'll find a wide selection of coordinated print collections that is sure to fit your budget. Make sure to play around in the gallery to sample different kinds of mattes and frame choices!

In addition to fern and botanical prints, Charting Nature has an excellent variety of beautifully detailed fish and shellfish prints.
Tip for upcoming gifts for Dads and Grads: How about a nifty fish print note card or poster? Most dads love to fish, and recent grads will finally have the time to partake!
