IMG_0618.JPGTry this at home. This is what we did. We rented a few tables and hanging racks and stood outside on the street with friends on a nice fall day for about five hours. In the process, we emptied our closets, pulled out nice but unused and unneeded junk that other people liked and sold everything off to taxi cab drivers, passersby, readers and friends. It was fun and easy, and we did it in Manhattan - where foot traffic just happens to be awesome almost anytime.

And we all made some good dinner money. Ourselves, we made $360 to be exact....mostly in twenties (see pile of $$ pic). But the number gets even better when you realize that we also cleaned out our space in the process. At the end we had less stuff and more money. Stuff became money. We reversed the natural process and truly recycled a lot of good stuff..... like two guitars, two tables, two bookracks, a rolling clothes rack, CD's, clothing, a fax machine, countless small stuff and this beautiful blue chair that Jen sold for $55 to this happy gentleman!
