Dear AT,
Where can I find a reasonably priced desk armoire with clean lines? I'd prefer if it also had file drawers, space for an oversized printer and enough room for a monitor that is 18" tall.
Thanks! CS
Due to the size of this item, you don't have a lot of choices. Not everyone wants to make these, and among those that do, they can be hideous. Here's a start:

You might want to rethink putting your computer all in one place. If your looking into a big box with all your junk you can't easily see the tv. Without a tv trolling the web is boring as you wait for stories to develop, news to break, pages and movies to download, and so on.
Take the money and buy a flat screen monitor to mount over your desk on the wall. Buy a Bluetooth (wireless radio frequency card) for your computer and printer and put the later anywhere in your room (no wires). Avoid the clutter with tech. and not by buying bulky boxes to sentence yourself to stare into. Just a suggestion.
think about gothic...i bought a beautiful pine hutch that was stained black and weathered...looks like an antique, fits everything, and way under 800 bucks...ethan allen's was a similar look for over 1500
We were faced with this same question over the summer and went with an armoire from IKEA (the HUSAR), which came in pine. For $299 it was a great deal and very functional. We had to paint it (as pine didn't really work with our decor) and chose black with red doors. It gave it an asian flair and it looks amazing. We often get compliments from friends who come over. Good luck!
I've faced this same problem, so far to no avail. I am looking for something that works well with a very modern interior design, yet also provides enough storage for my speakers and subwoofer, the CPU, monitor, and assorted peripherals. Generally, the problem I find is that the armoire style offers the storage, but fails to provide enough space around the CPU to allow for adequate air flow (due to the machine I have, I need about 8" on either side of the CPU and a fully open rear CPU compartment.) Any suggestions would be appreciated

What Tim said--Gothic Cabinet Craft unfinished furniture. Martha Stewart Living features this sort of thing, and the source is often Gothic, then painted and adapted DIY.
