Organic mineral. Passing by this building on 9th street just east of 6th avenue, we had to stop and snap a pic of this really nice ironwork.

Completely impractical, this very lightly crafted floral arrangement (chesnut tree?) takes a forgettable doorway and dresses it up in a beautiful and ageless way. The blue/green cast tells us it must be a form of copper (like the light behind), which also adds warmth and color to the scene. MGR
