Ecstasy. Boy, is it really getting exciting now. Despite the frigid weather that slowed down the buds a bit, we are really seeing FLOWERS, real live flowers in our own apartment. You know what is next? That's right.... The smell. Can't wait. (The box got turned around over the weekend, which explains the sudden growth on the right). MGR
Amaryllis slide show: much slower, but really shot up over the weekend.... MGR

Any major studio bids?
Thanks so much for posting this and rec'ing the bulbs last week. I got some last weekend and seeing them grow is making me happy. Hooray for almost-instant gratification!
Isn't nature astounding? And this slide show certainly illustrates that. Thanks for sharing it.
I have a question about the bulbs. Inspired by your Narcissuses I bought some of my own at the Smith and Hawken sale and am growing them on rocks in a glass vase. Only 4/6 have rooted and one that has rooted has a bit of mold on the underside, very bottom of the bulb. Now, any ideas about applying fungicide to a bulb that's already rooted? What's wrong with my other 2 bulbs? Any gardeners out there?
Here's my bulbs' setup,
