You have great taste. Everything in your home has such style that the size of the place becomes secondary. I covet the living room rug! Great job.
Colorful and lovely.
Oh. Bathtub envy.
A dressing room does indeed deserve three exclamation marks! Lol. Nice, lovely and cosy. x
I want to see the chickens and meyer lemon tree!!!
those rugs are thrift store finds?! AMAZING!
this is a study in awesomeness and inventive style! love that bright rug and the chandelier. and the bright red couch.
AT, can I get a house tour?
Love it all!
Adore the rugs and the sense of tranquility.
I also love your little hand-drawn layout. Or whatever it's called.
Amazing amazing love where your heads at
That's a lovely red sofa.
This is super stylish and the fact that you got most of the furnishings from thrift stores and roadside finds.....ahhhh my heart-a-flutter! Great job and your space is lovely!I too need to see more!
love it. makes me miss LA.
YES! Finally a little that represents!! I've been waiting for a great little entry, now hopefully a great small will arrive!
Love your dressing room, what a neat idea! I wish I could have seen pictures of the outdoor space, from the looks of your apt., I'm sure it's gorgeous!
Nefertiti?! Love it.
Beautiful.
Such great style throughout! I'm so going shopping at thrift stores from now on. What awesome finds. LOVE the rug in your bedroom!
What a totally lovely home! And I covet that bedroom rug!
(Yes, a House Tour!)
That's the trouble with this showing off of thrift store awesomeness, now everyone will be searching, and getting in my way.
Here's a tip on beautiful rugs for you admirers: Persian rugs are being liquidated due to an embargo and Rugman is selling all. Call them for the liquidation prices and and your order will come with more coupons so share with friends if you can. I ordered a few and they were not as soft as I'd hoped (to use them for upholstery) but they are pretty nice rugs.
Good luck Katie with your lovely home!
Also, if you look at rugs online, you will be "google stalked" and rug ads will follow you constantly until you break down and buy, buy, buy. Don't say I didn't warn you with the tip.
who is rugman?? Is that a site? Extra info please!!
Can I ask if you own or rent? I have to say I am pretty in love with this one. It's one of the ones that I know I would be ecstatic to live in.
I love how your little pup is almost camouflaged in the first picture!
Love the rugs and the bathroom is dreamy! A tulip table doesn't hurt either....
Oh what I would give for your bath tub!
At first when I saw the dressing room off of the kitchen I thought, how strange to have your clothes so far from your bedroom. But on second consideration I can picture myself making breakfast and picking out my clothes at the same time easily. And having a separate dressing room must keep your bedroom much tidier <says the girl with a pile of clothes on her bedroom occasional chair>
Google Rugman, it comes up.
I also bought from e carpet hot deals after reading about it on someone's house tour.
Tip two: Be sure to inspect any thrift store rugs thoroughly and sniff them too. Usually they are cast out for a reason.
great textiles - love the bright colours in the living room.
Love your rugs!
I wish I could see more pictures of that dressing/guest room!!
Love how the puppy blends with the pillow! LOL
where's the backyard and the chickadees at!?
So cute! Love the Nefertiti!
I am jealous. I love this place. Lots of treasures and personality but not too much. I want to take a bath in that tub, then curl up and read on the sofa! I would like to see something more magnificent over the bed though. I think it's needed.
I love the tub & the closet/dressing room... interesting space.
I know! The bed needs a Moroccan Wedding blanket!! They're affordable and beautiful (and have stood up to my two dogs and two cats). AT featured them here:

And yep, this place is still my favorite. I was just checking.
I can't express how much I LOVE that bathroom!!!
Love the side tables in the living room and bedroom. Where did you find those? Well done! Bedroom rug is fantastic.
Hi everyone, this is Katie, thanks so much for the kind comments, you guys are the best!
I agree that the bedroom could use a Moroccan wedding blanket, I'm always looking out for one. The side tables are from a thrift store (st vincent de paul). azaleasmoke, i own the house, bought it last summer!
great bathroom, and great place overall. i think i o.d.'d on too many 'driftwood' coffee tables in the 70's and 80's, because i'm not feeling it, but the place as a whole is sweet
i wish i could see more! wonderful sense of color and such interesting pieces.
THE RUGS! I know many have commented, but that one in the living room is fantastic.
OMG, a dressing room!
Hi Apartment Therapy friends, I see a lot of comments and questions on these entries about rugs, which has started me on a hunt. I wanted to share this site with you (affordable, great selection and tons of chevron rugs). No, I don't work for them, just sharing a good resource.
