Everything is within easy reach, and everything has a spot behind the secret wall [in a pleasing neutral color]. There’s also a black chalk-board wall that we may let our kids use someday, and a magnet wall that gets filled with artwork and potty charts.

3 Compelling kitchen cooking/design tips:
1. If you get a really deep sink, your kitchen will still look fabulous with a sink full of dirty dishes.
2. Drawers, drawers, drawers. I put everything in drawers. There’s no need to rummage through a deep base cabinet.
3. Make uppers or wall cabinets at least 14” clear [you can’t put plates in standard 12” uppers].
