Dept. of Conscientious Observers. Now that we finally have your attention, it is time to remind you of that shadowy group of esteemed judges who kindly agreed to watch over all of you during this process. MGR

For the record, this is three women and five men, one lives in San Francisco, one in Montreal, and the rest are here in NYC. Four are bloggers, two are architects, and two are writers and editors of MAJOR publications (albeit MSM). All of them are very smart, funny, attractive, modest, got A's and B's in school, and you would like them instantly if you met them. MGR

I'm pretty new to this site, and I really enjoy it, especially when people exchange idea freely and wililngly and receptively and graciously.
And I've enjoyed seeing this contest, because all the entries have been pretty cool in some way or other.
To me, it appears the AT folks have done a decent job of assembling a panel of judges that reflect the general spirit of the site. It looks like a good mix of credentials, etc., and I'm looking forward to seeing the results of the judging. I really think that most of the contestants, themselves, really have a pretty good attitude about it, and take it with the right mix of sense of humour and receptiveness to input. Smallness is a quantitative thing, but coolness is a trickier thing to calculate. It seems that their mission will be to find place where those two points intersect with the widest margin. And I hope that all the people who entered it have gotten something out of it. And I really hope that people will just accept whatever the results are, and realize that it's not like they're imposing a head of state, or some kind of papal figure.
Everything that Maxwell says about me is true, except I was a truant slacker and got horrible grades in school.
Curtis-
From a contestant's point of view, I have definitely gotten a lot from the contest. The comments have been great and made me notice things that can be improved. I usually invite my friends when they visit to make comments and suggestions, because everyone has eyes and thus a point, and when you listen to others, you can learn a lot and improve. SOOO... in summary, I really appreciate this forum, I think it is a great thing for homeowners, designers, etc. And don't worry, I've accepted the results as is, (albeit, i'm a pinch sad) but I know with the practice of assembling my photos together, and starting to think about it in a presentation matter, which I hope other contestants have also begun thinking about it in a similar manner, is great practice for the next contest out there.. hehe... Thanks Maxwell! Thanks judges for taking your free time out to participate! I look forward to hearing your reasons for why you picked certain apts over others; that's always an interesting part of a competition, whether you are the top 3 or not.
