One good thing. For weeks I've been eyeing this sweet little cherry tree trying to come into its glory.
Last weekend it happened, and I missed it.
Even though those gorgeous pink blossoms are gradually dropping to the ground, there is still something quite arresting about the scene here at 44 East 3rd Street: just one lone tree, about to outgrow its concrete planter, giving passersby reason to slow down and notice.
These are the things I am most thankful for as a New Yorker. skgr
