HOT. After a sleepy, lost in space issue last week (that many readers LOVED, FYI), this weeks is as juicy as they come. We've got a totally off the wall super cool house tour. Olle Lundberg and Mary Breuer have made their home on a car ferry in San Fran bay and escape to their country cabin in Northern California. This is our wet dream.

Then there's a great story on our friend, Scott Chasky, a poet and farmer whose memoir, "Common Ground: Seasons on an Organic Farm," is just out. His farm is a CSA and provides many of our vegetables in the summer. BTW he also is being forced to build an "industrial strength" deer fence this summer to preserve his crop.

White Enamel Four-P...
I've not yet gotten past the articles about trademark infringement and getting a "taste of Morocco", and I already give it a "Perfect". Seems like they crammed enough info into this week's to more than make up for anyone who felt the Chrysler building piece should have been a special section...
Wow, can't wait to see it.
I still wish they would put the thing on a CD like, say, once or twice a year or so. Ironically, it's the dang House & Home section that supplies me with the ONLY Colyer Brothers aspect of my home. It's otherwise quite lovely. But tucked away in strange little places I have these stacks of the yellowing newsprint of old House & Home sections that I can't part with.
To scan the bloomin' things and save them on a disk is just too much trouble, so I just keep them. On the REALLY rare occassion I'll actually throw one away, if it's completely dedicated to a topic like gardening, which has absolutely nothing to do with me.
Is it just me, or is the Tord Bjoonte aesthetic starting to trickle down?
(and I soooooo want that Eboniste table, sitting on that Vivienne Westwood rug...!)
Incidentally, you can go see Russel Wright's house and get a tour of the grounds (90 minutes long?!?) for only $15 (except this Sunday). Check out russelwrightcenter dot org.
