Dear Barbara, great question. We throw ours in a hot wash every now and then and replace each year or so. Here are some more specific tips from EHow commenters:

  • wash warm with soap and a bit of bleach
  • wash with towels to clean the curtain
  • use a fabric softener to get rid of soap bubbles
  • throw in dryer when done for a few minutes to take out creases
  • wiping down with orange oil is another alternative
