That's awful! I live in fear that someone will rip off plants from my little 13 by 3 foot garden, which I've put a lot of time, money and labor into. So far all I've had to deal with is inconsiderate dog owners (anyone have suggestions about dissuading animals from eliminating in my flowers?). I'm hoping that my location in a courtyard building will keep the average passer by from becoming tempted by my Angelica!

You know, I could almost imagine that if there was some kind of hallucigenic recreational psychopharmacological effect of eating the flowers that are planted in places where people can see them, that somebody might just be hard enough for some kind of fix that they just could simply not help themselves.

But, a person with their own little garden that goes out and steals something as relatively inexpensive as a plant? What exactly could their problem be? Are they sort of waiting behind the nearest palm tree to just watch the reactions of the people who planted them, like some kind of practical joke? It's just a really weird kind of sad!
