Has anyone used these guys lately? We need to be treated for bed bugs and these guys seem to be the best in NYC. Any reviews?
NIGHTMARE!! I had a minor mice problem in a tiny apartment. Four different Pest Away technicians came in five times, and not only they made the problem worse by overbaiting the small apartment attracting more mice than before and charged almost $400 for the first visits, they also put toxic white tracking powder that is suppose to be injected into the walls and floors, exposed in open air around my bed, fridge, radiator, which I found out later from another company that is a serious health hazard.
The technicians are all really nice guys and went out of their way to try to solve the problem, but the company has serious training problems and overcharges. It was a very disappointing experience especially after reading all these nice reviews everywhere and cost me a lot of time, energy, and money than before the service.
After months of this, I realize that the most effective way to solve mice problem is watch where the mouse are running towards and look for where the holes are, then stuff steel wool in them and around radiator, pipes and any holes that you see behind the stove and fridge then seal with strong tape. The problem has been fixed by myself since! You know your own apartment better than the exterminators!
This is a great company and I want to thank all of the reviewers above. They solved a longstanding mouse problem that we had suffered with for way too long. We had given up hope on exterminatos but I gave it one more chance after coming upon this site. Thanks again, and mostly thank u pest away. The guys were really nice and very well trained.

I had the worst bed bug problem that just could not be solved by my buidling's company. Pest Away has a thought out program that actually solves beg bug problems. They are patient and explain everythig you need to know. Bed bugs are a nightmare, and must be taken seriously.

Bed bugs as many very well know is a total nightmare. Whats worse is that most of the exterminating industry seems clueless is solving this problem. I had 4 different well known companies to treat my place over 5 months and $10,000 later I stiill had a problem. I thank god found Pest Away and they were head and shoulders more professional, knowledgable, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, EFFECTIVE. They gave me back my life and I am incredibly grateful. I have since given out their name to otehrs and the share my sentiments. I highly recommend Pest Away for Bed Bugs, and they also seem they do the whole NY pest gammit as well. This is an excellent company. It was clear after my first bad experience. I had a well known company that charged me thousands of dollars for bed bugs. Turns out they made it worse and did things that did both property damage to an expensive couch and made my dog sick. I called Pest Away based on a good deal of research. They were so nice, so professional, and the difference was huge. They did what they said they woudl do, and they figured out the problem with their experience. I highly recommend them.
Pros: smart, efficient, HONEST, and ethical
In NY you really need to do your homewrok before you choose an exterminating place. Most are either dishonest, not reliable, not competent, outright dangerous, or brain dead. Some of these overlap. However, Pest Away is the one huge bright spot in the service world of NY. they are nice, smart, reliable, and kow how to solve every major problem my apartmnet has encountered, and believe me it was many. It ranged from ants to mice, to rats, to the most dreaded bed bugs. They handled each one. This is an excellent company.

I had the worst experience with these people. They came three times. After the first time they said I was past my warranty, so I paid $200 again. They came back twice but still didn't fix the problem. Now they they claim I didn't pay the second time and basically tough luck if you don't have a receipt -practically called me a liar on the phone. This is the first time I have ever posted a complaint on-line about a company in a negative manner but these guys really get the award for nasty horrible service.
After living in a brownstone for 20 years I was told that mice will always be a fact of life. I accepted this even though it was quite disgusting having droppings left all over my house. My ex girlfriend used a company called Pest Away Exterminating that was well known for taking a thinking’s man approach to solving vermin problems. These guys were able to solve the issue from the outside of the building and everyone in the brownstone benefited from their work. They were very professional, and nice. I must say that was the one good thing that came out of that relationship. Pest Away has great full service knowledge of pests. I later had them take care of a pigeon problem, then ants, and fleas. I would not use any one else.
My kids are very active and always outdoors. I keep telling them to clean up after themselves but they NEVER listen. One day my son comes up to me and says he has bite marks on his leg. We go to the doctor and he tells us they are bed bug bites. My doctor referred me to Pest Away and I immediately ordered an inspection. The person that came was extremely helpful and assuring. The problem was fixed within days with no problems or issues. Very good.
My store had a rat problem for a couple of weeks. My brother in law told me about Pest away so I gave them a call. They solved my problem in a week. Very quick and efficient and good service as well.
These guys did a great job.
