The pieces are beautiful and specialties include dining tables, rolling stools, sinks and even beds. Some pieces are products for sale off the web and others have been done on commission. We particularly liked the monastery sink for its sexy (and holy) shape.
We saw some of Dewulf's work at CABoom II last weekend and thought that the unique shapes and textures of the work were worth checking out. AH

What are you doing to me?! I love the concrete and metal dining table they have. I am currently looking for the perfect table for our kitchen. It needs to be round, 42" in diameter and able to withstand abuse. In other words, no coasters or placemats for us. Oh, and it needs to look good too. I'm willing to spend up to around $800. I would love a round concrete tabletop with metal base like this, but I'm sure it would cost me at least twice my budget! Does anyone have any bright ideas?

In a civil engineering class I took, we had to make something out of concrete. We made a round black-dyed concrete table that was about 4' in dia, 2" thick at the edge, 4" in the middle. There was a recess in the bottom (of the top) that fit into a concrete pedestal. It was so freaking heavy, and nobody had the means to move it, so it went in the dumpster.
I get the heavy bit. I fancy a concrete veneer table. There's a company called SandBack that does that but their bases are made of very chunky wood. I'd love to see them branch out into metal bases. Alas, the prices will still elude me.

It is modern and it gives me a very clean, tidy feeling when I see these concrete furnitures. However, it looks a bit too heavy for me, not the lease comfortable.
Am new at the game but loving it. experimenting
with hardwood inset it is heavy and is putting muscles in my earlobes lifting the pieces It will outlive the maker which I like.
Any ideas to make it lighter. My mix is 1part cement 1 1/2builders mix 1 1/2 sand.
