Maybe it's just us, but this week's H&H is a summer delight, full of guilty pleasures.
First of all, we love the big, juicy pics of the Perlbinder's Norman Jaffe house in Sagaponac, then we got into Ken Druse's story on the suburban chicken keeping fad (what? no garden?), and it all came right back home with Aric Chen's article on a hip Williamsburg renovation (with a Ron Gilad lamp).
Hey, even Marianne Rohrlich's roundup of Dorm Decor made us chuckle with how glad we are not to be that young anymore....

But I have to put in my 2 cents about last week's H&H, which I read with much mirth. Especially that european clutter v unimaginative bachelor minimalism.

Erm...why does AT refer to the NYTIMES section as H&H? The link off the NYTIMES website calls the section Home and Garden - so why not H&G?
Not complaining or objecting - just curious about any explanations.
Jennifer - until fairly recently the NYT called that section House & Home.
Jennifer: The print version of the section is titled "House & Home".
I wish the NY Time article on ceiling ideas had some more photos accompanying it because some of the ideas seem intersting. Anyone know of a website that has intersting ceiling ideas?
I'm surprised no one has come rushing to the defense of the dragon-stealing "designers" who copied the design from another vendor, in the same way people are so quick to come to the side of those furniture manufacturers/vendors making/selling knock-offs...
So. . . chickens are the new decor? I never liked that country-cute look, but live chickens? Actually, I would prefer live chickens. Come to think of it, chickens would be fun (I'm thinking my apt neighbors won't agree). But the question is, if I get a mellow chicken the cat might eat it and if I get a touch chicken it might kill the cat. Decisions, decisions....

I miss Nest.
It just occurred to me that if you didn't read the thing about the ceilings, you wouldn't have even seen the Nest reference they made, but anyway, that was one of the most interesting and lurid, gorgeous, baroque publications on the planet -- ever. To be fair, I've not seen all the publications on the planet, but among the Decor ones, it was amazing.
