We get all kinds of emails.... Late last night got a great props email from netland and traced the url to see where our commenter was coming from. His url,www.mesothelioma-asbestos-help.com, turns out to be a great resource for Apartment Therapy, and I spent too much time finding out the true story behind how bad the asbestos fallout was from the World Trade Center's collapse. The answer is a good one: asbestos contamination was low, not hazardous, and proved very clean-up-able with scrubbing and HEPA vacuuming. The bad news was that Lead contamination was high, and children are the ones particularly vulnerable to this.
Apartment Therapy is a helpmate, a cheerleader, a nudge, an early adopter, and a resource for our urban apartment life, and resources like this one are particularly helpful dispelling rumor and supporting community. MGR

Great post! I have been looking for information on asbestos testing. It seems that the asbestos has been in the media a lot more lately.
