How about the indivi sofa from BoConcept? The fabrics start at about $1099 and the leathers start at about $2099. The best part is that the arms, legs, configuration, and length can be changed depending on the style your going for.

unfortunately, doesn't have couch on site, but they offer a beautiful, black leather "boxy" couch that is from italy and very affordable: under 2000. it's called "the begamo"; i have it and love it.

IKEA's low and chunky new Kramfors sofa and loveseat come in brown or sand leather, for $799 (sofa) & $699 (loveseat).

The Kramfors sofa is listed at $799 and the loveseat at $699 in the new 2005 Ikea catalog. I've found those prices at the Ikeas in my area (southern California). I looked for a link but they don't seem to be listed on the Ikea web site yet. Don't pay $1250!

I think the sofa looks quite nice and the brown color has a crazy ostrich-like texture (at least that's what it reminds me of) but a friend of mine just got it and it feels very uncomfortable to me--the bottom cushion is waay too firm for my taste.

Just got the Kramfors from Ikea- in the dark leather.. very good value, $1250 with tax.. got the loveseat/chaise combo. Would def recommend if you want an "L" shaped deep seat.

To the person who posted the "snap" by la-z- boy, designed by VEGAN Todd Oldham, leather is not an option and they will not accommodate you for this request! This only pertains to the Todd Oldham designs.

The reason you see differences for the Kramfors sofas is that Ikea has two different ones.

One is much longer than the other and actually 2 pieces, hence the much higher price.

WIEDER is a surprise - in spite of its minimalist looks it offers excellent comfort, thanks to high quality filling and wooden slats in the seat. anyone have any experience with EB PETERS sofas? I have been interested in a Kramfors sofa from Ikea but they are out of stock and have no idea when they'll have more. The EB PETERS sofas are modern and affordable. I would like to know if anyone could give me some feedback on them.

Just saw this post and how a majority of people loved and recommended the IKEA Kramfors leather. Just found out that it has been discontinued by IKEA. Luckily, there's a company called Comfort Works that does leather reupholstery for Ikea sofas. Found their blog recently http://bit.ly/bmtzZL. Hope this helps =)
