Rainbow is a nice image. We don't know what the rainbow is for, but we have heard that Rainbow Movers is a "class act." While we have heard the name floating around, one friend has used them four times and has this to say:
These guys are total gentlemen, and they have never let me down. They even kept my moving date in 2001 when it was three days after September 11th. They also move quickly by recommending more men to do the move than you might think you need. This was no ripoff. Because they don't strain the move, I was far less stressed out and they were done before I knew it. The price was still a good one.
They also have this guy, Lenny, who apparently never sleeps and who will drop empty boxes at your apartment any time of night or day so you are ready.
Add Rainbow to the collection of good movers we know, but, please, if you know more about Rainbow POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE, comment below. (Thanks, Amy!) MGR

I just used them and they were wonderful - night and day difference from my previous moving experience. My boss recommended Rainbow Movers to me for an intracity move after I had had a horrible experience moving across the country a year ago. My boss had used Rainbow twice with great results. Three clean cut guys arrived when they said they would and started moving my stuff. They didn't complain about the elevator not being ready for them, they just stacked stuff in the hall until it was ready. They didn't say a word about my not being completely packed, made no comment about all the junk I considered move-worthy, or the bike that I told them I would ride over myself, just quietly brought up boxes and started packing for me. Nothing was broken, scratched or damaged in the slightest - neither my property nor the building, and they left everything tidy in their wake. They were quick, professional, pleasant and made me feel completely safe and secure. They were completely forthright and honest about everything from the bid to the insurance to the packing materials that I had told them I wouldn't be needing, but ended up needing. These guys are champs. Please note that this is the NYC Rainbow Movers that are so great, and not the interstate company using the same name as an alias for a scam job like the one I used to move across the country a year ago.
I've used Rainbow at least twice, and it was a very good experience (as good as moving can be, anyway) each time. I say "at least twice" because it was a pretty long time ago. The first time was before 2000.
One of the moves was much stickier than expected because of an uncooperative tenant moving out of where I was moving into, and Rainbow did their best to make it work as well as possible.
