A few years ago we heard about Jeff Curran's online catalogue. It was a bit of a secret, and definitely not well known outside of the Pacific Northwest, where he started as a manufacturer's rep in the early 90's. With a good eye and word of mouth, his selection of high end furniture made available at below retail rates has garnered a big following.
Only online and by catalogue twice a year, Jeff Curran's collection has grown a great deal since the 90's and includes a large selection of classic furniture (armchairs - $1500-$2000, sofas - $4000), lighting, floor coverings and outdoor furniture at prices below retail (but still not cheap!). If you are looking for a classic lamp, sofa or armchair, include this site in your search.
The Sale section is often got good stuff in it, so it is worth checking up on that page every now and then. MGR

I realize this is an old thread but for anyone who uses the archives to research Curran:
I recently ordered a number of things from them and the first - a desk/table - has been delivered. The desk is very handsome and well made, perhaps even nicer than it could be presented in a catalog. Their customer service people have been extremely easy to deal with. I have more pieces coming and I cannot wait to see them.
