French designer Lise Lefab lives in the Netherlands where she created a spin on the bear rug using recycled wool blankets. These traditional woven Dutch blankets are being replaced by modern comforters and so end up in large piles in thrift stores. Lise reuses the blankets showcasing their intricate patterns. Check out the more detailed shots.

We wrote yesterday about the prevalence of animals in home decor. And back in April, we also posted about a Joe the Polar Bear. (Who knew there would be so much Joe talk in November?!) To order contact Lise Lefab through her website. The rugs are custom made for each client, but for the standard such as the one shown, Lise charges 700 euros plus shipping.

Poor thing looks like it's being tortured.
I would totally trip on that head and twist a knee or something...
Even knowing it is not real, it creeps me out.
Not my style but I think it's totally awesome. It would be beautiful in a cabin.
By the way I was unaware blankets were out of style. I use a blanket under my comforter in the winter.
