Name:Lilly of Lilly's Notebook
Location: Greenwich Village, New York, New York
My apartment is very cheerful and I think it is a great example of how to decorate a rental on a low budget. The main challenge for us was spending as little as possible to get the most comfort and look. This was really important because we only plan to be here for a few years.
I have two young children so it's a great place to play, spill and hang your artwork on the walls;)
Thanks, Lilly!

Howard Butcher Bloc...
Oh... its so pretty and colourful! Feminine but not over the top and "frou frou"
The colors in the living room encourage play, and with the tepee in the corner, who wouldn't? I'm worried about the big frame on the console table falling over, though.
Love it!
I love the look of the room. Where did you get the rug from?
Love the Baechler painting...
Normally I don't like to see kids' toys lying about but that teepee is soooo cute. A really nice happy home.
The curved entrace is er-mazing! Lovely, stylish and cosy. Nice. x
I love the couch. Where is it from?
The tepee and the For Like Ever poster both immediately caught my eye. What a charming and roomy (especially for Manhattan) apartment!
I love this place, such beautiful colours!
You've embraced being a family -- what a great blend of kid and adult. So nice!!
This is beautiful--thanks for sharing!
@threewindows - Looks like the Petrie sofa from Crate and Barrel
and i think the rug is The Company Store...if it's not, they have one that's very similar!
It's clean, bright, comfortable, and fun--really homey.
Very nicely done. Homey & cheerful. Love the rug in the LR & I love your childrens room.
Ooo! I'd love to find out where that headboard is from.
Adorable. Love it.
Your home looks very happy. Like walking in the door everyday would put you into a good mood. Love that.
I absolutely LOVE it! Very cheery, indeed! Thanks for sharing :)
love it :) and would love to see the whole house tour.
The kids' room looks familiar, has it been featured before?
"Cheerful" is an understatement! How uplifting this is! Congrats and thanks for sharing your buoyancy.
Oh my God !!!! Lily !!!! I want to be your child. Do you know how incredible this place is? Tastefully done for an adult, oh so fun for a child. Love it, love it, love it, love it (and on and on).
Great rug! Your home IS cheerful, and I think it looks good. I have to admit, the tv sitting so low threw me off a bit.
Perfect! What an inspiration! I would love to get that teepee for our son. Wherever did you find it? Luckiest kid ever!
I am obsessed! Just love the bold colors against the white. I did a little research on Lilly's site and found out that the lovely rug is Missoni and the teepee is from The Land of Nod :-)

I love this room! Great color! Would you mind sharing paint colors used?
I stopped to check out this apartment because family was in the title and I was hoping it was going to be small in size... I wasn't disappointed. Great to see stylish modest size family homes. It teaches us a thing or two about 'needs'.
The teepee is a terrific alternative to a garish plastic pink playhouse (and can be packed away into a closet more easily), great idea!!
Happy, Bright, and Beautiful. I love the artwork along the curving wall.
just found the rug everyone is drooling over on ebay!
