Portland, Maine designer Angela Adams's sensible and elegant products range from eco-friendly wallpaper to her easy-to-clean 100% New Zealand wool rugs. Her newest line of doormats are derived from coconut husks that are long-lasting and sustainable. They also might be her most affordable product at $45 per mat.

Her modern graphics are stenciled with a water-based non-acrylic ink. On the non-green side (the bottom), there is a piece of PVC backing which holds the mat together, keeping it from sliding around. She is working to find a non-PVC material to make the entire mat fully compostable.

The Mats are 36 inches by 22 inches and come in three color combinations:
