Perfect for bedside reading, workspace working and a million other places (bathroom? dining room? All kinds of rooms!), the hardest part about finding the perfect task light is choosing from all the awesome ones that have been designed so far. We've chosen ten with a pretty modern aesthetic, in a variety of price ranges, but we'd also love to know what your favorite adjustable, wall-mounted task lights are, so do tell us in the comments if you have suggestions!

Although they look good, I rarely mount lighting on the wall because I shift furniture a lot.
For those of us who cannot afford $100-$600 task lighting, IKEA has some great options (some of which look and function similarly to the ones above).
10 Awesome, Adjustable, Wall-Mounted Unrealistically Expensive Task Lights.
Ka-ching, anybody?
I love the Y Lighting FlexiLED AP Wall Light, but cannot imagine shelling out $1400 for two bed lights. Anybody know where I can get a similar style that is less of a budget buster?
I want them all.
Love, love, love wall-hung task lamps. But, what's with leaving those ugly cords dangling on the wall? They are not cute at all and can be hazard.
Puhleeze, hide that ugly dangling cord with some inexpensive plastic cord covers/conduits you can paint to match the wall color.
Thanks for this post. I've been looking for a wall-mounted lamp for a small space and came up with these. But I may end up with your West Elm!

We have #7 in our garage right now. I don't think I would use it for regular lighting. We use ours when we need good temporary lighting, such as plumbing work under the kitchen sink. warponey, I think it cost less then $10.
I love #5 and #10 but yeah, too expensive for me!
I have the Ikea Beryll wall spotlights (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60136067) as bedside lights and they're fantastic.
The white blends in with the wall color, reducing visual distraction in my small studio apartment, they're adjustable, they don't protrude too much into the room or take up valuable nightstand space, and they were cheap. The halogen bulbs are also long-lasting and energy saving.
Very timely, AT, I've been searching for some cute lights for bedroom. Anybody know any good clamp lamps, I'd appreciate a head's up ... trying to keep things under $100 for 2 that I can attach to the headboard or right above ....
the flos one is the one to buy.. amazing piece of art and utility
i really like the nelson lights and am considering them for our bedroom but am slightly hesitant because we might want something more specifically designed for reading. does anyone have any experience with these lights and reading or doing something similar?
