i'm sorry, almost all of these are way out of the price range of the average american. thanks for making us feel poor.
Anyone have that cb2 table? Really neat with the cord cutout. Right now we have an extension cord under the couch that we pull out to plug in our tablets (nexus7's, ipads are a bit too pricey for me). The cord just gets pushed back under the couch when not in use.
Much of the furniture postings on AT are fairly expensive. That said, for someone who likes to DIY and hack, like myself, they're often somewhat inspirational.
Some of these tables cost as much as my couch! I too see them as inspirational rather than aspirational. I would sooner see myself learning woodworking and building my own tables than spend almost $1000 on a side table.
I have two side tables in my garage that would totally make this list once the eleventeen layers of paint are stripped and the wood is refinished. Oh man I wish I had the time to do it now! They would look quite similar to the second one!
I like #10 with the glass top and pull-out drawer... a clever design I've never seen before. And it's $400 for particleboard (oops, I mean "engineered wood") at Pottery Barn. How ridiculous.
The Ultimate Clutter Control furniture: the Circular File (ie, wastebasket). I agree that many of the items shown are $$ ($$$$$$$$), but hopefully of excellent build. But they'll give me good ideas of what to look for that will be easier on the budget.
I agree--these are way out of most people's price range. Why not the Cala coffee table from Cost Plus (my own solution for clutter control) http://www.worldmarket.com/category/furniture/living-room/coffee-tables.do
At $239 it's cool and functional.
