There are just so many clever ways to spice up an old or cheap planter that we're brimming with DIY excitement. And of course, doing something yourself means you can usually save money and customize it to your exact color desires! Here are ten painted planter projects from around the web that we love:

Love these! Especially #3...would be beautiful with something with white/very pale green foliage.
I attempted dripping paint onto planters like #1 and #2 with mixed results depending on the shape of the pot. I think I'll give the solid paint ideas like #7 and #10 a try. http://monochromaticdynamic.blogspot.com/2012/01/plants-and-paints.html
Thanks for this post. I've been looking for some interesting pots but not coming up with much at local garden stores; they are either boring or they are like $250 for a small herb size pot. This gives me some great ideas to make my own.
Check out my painted planters! So easy and fun!
Hate it when you have a link to someone's blog and you have to search and search for said item. Is Happy Mundane really the source for the geometric planter? I got tired of looking through months and months of blog entries.
LOVE the "Day of The Dead" planters!
These are excellent! I am absolutely trying this.
