It's so hard to find a modern looking sofa that is also both comfortable and affordable. Sigh. I wish we had the one pictured here.
Such a timely post! Thanks!
Thanks to this post I'm completely sure that I need a new sofa :)
It amazes me the uncomfortable couches people will put in their homes because they liked the way it looked in a catalog or magazine, without any regard to how it feels to sit or lay on.
For heaven's sake, fellow AT'ers, please get something comfortable that you and your family/friends/etc will enjoy sitting on. I learned that lesson the hard way :)

Few sofas tempt me. Many look like an upright stuffed dog bed. I see one in Pier1 that I like once in a while.
This one is very comfortable its not too modern and goes with almost any style. Not super expensive, very high quality, made in the USA and there are other sizes but this one is great for smaller apartments without having to do a love seat, great scale.

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but why do most sofas available in the "budget" price range look like a hippopotamus with lymphedema? I get why the really crap ones stuff the backrests chock-full of fiberfill instead of using foam or cushions, but what's with all the jelly on top of the arms? I've even seen otherwise decently constructed sofas with those stupid pillowy things on the arms. They look awful and I don't see where the cost savings are. Okay, rant over.
