We at Unplggd have been rather excited about the iPad, Apple's latest device. Although it has a name that we certainly would not have chosen, it does have a lot of potential. With Wi-Fi models shipping in about a month, and great cases being announced left and right, we have decided to roundup our ten favorite iPad cases.
With new cases being announced seemingly every day, this list is certainly not conclusive. Since the iPad is such a new product, many of these cases do not yet have pricing information and are only available for pre-order. Here are our ten favorites of the newly announced iPad cases.

Nice summary of some iPad cases! BoxWave also makes some unique iPad cases to add more into the mix. You can check them out here:

The last two links from posters who only registered today. If not spam then self-promotion.
That's a bummer to hear new users who post informative links are called spam...
We believe the links are directly related to the post, so we're going to inch these across to the non-spam category.
Another stylish iPad case i ran accross recently and thinking to purchase it: http://www.etsy.com/listing/44488895/portel-for-ipad

These iPad sleeves have a retro-vintage look but they seem to be out of stock.

The case I bought was this: http://store.apple.com/us/product/H0969ZM/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY . It makes me feel like the iPad might survive a short fall, but it's a magnet for dust and hair. If I wanted to bring my iPad into a meeting or something, I wouldn't use this case.
I don't know if this one is good or bad in practice, but it's a nifty idea (and name): http://www.dodocase.com/
Quirky's Cloak isn't going to make delivery, and the comments about the prototype aren't very promising.
Is there anyone whose actually bought one and likes it?
Which is the first case pictured (the large photo)? I can't figure it out from the list below.

This thread sure is a Spam dump. Just because the subject of the post is iPad cases, doesn't mean all the links posted here aren't spam. Comment threads are intended to be user driven, allowing for trust in recommendations. These are all just thinly veiled advertisements.

The case at the top is by Happy Owl Studio. They've started accepting pre-orders and are shipping in June. I can't wait to get mine! I've been searching for the right case like a mad woman, and this is the best one I've found so far.

this has nothing to do with what you are advertiseing, go harass some one else!!!!
OK, I do want an ipad, does it have any type of program that I can use for writing papers for school?
I just bought the bubble version at iPad Cases, which is actually the only store that seems to sell that one. The leather ipad cases are ok but they aren't as nice as the ones made from USA based companies. The silicone ipad cases are pretty affordable if you need something simple.
Vers Audio makes great cases for the iPod, iPhone, and iPad. They are made of sustainable wood, and for every tree they use, they plant 100 of 'em.
Plus, they are sexy. Nothing like a nice, natural wood finish.

Oh, and their docks are so beautiful, and get incredible sound. I would compare it to a similarly priced Bose system.
The neoprene cases tend to be the best quality for the iPad. They don't scratch and they have padding to protect in drops. The leather look nice and are good protection, but they tend to scratch the screen. iLuv is the most popular but they are frequently sold out, check out amazon for iLuv or http://ProiPadCases.com has a good selection.
For those traveling with their keyboard, you can check out these keyboard cases:

I'm very happy with my Hard Candy Street Skin. It makes the already substantial iPad feel indestructible, with it's tire tread-like rubber padding and cover. I never worry about tossing it into my backpack. Plus the treads make it very easy to grip.
I love the idea of personalizing things that are techy. I've begun a line of cases on my Etsy site, and can make them to order, and I'm just having fun with it! Check it out, http://www.etsy.com/listing/53240529/today-is-teal-ipad-case
Really original and handknitted iPad sleeves are from Raven Haired on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ravenhaired
Sorry just made a mistake with the last comment. You can find a load of
iPad Cases at this article. Most are craft based cases and whilst they might not be as stylish as some of the ones you can buy - they are cheaper!
Moderator feel free to delete my other comment.
Great "sexy" sleeves that i found from Etsy: http://bit.ly/dblPortel
Just came across Joe V. Leather on Etsy. They carry a nice selection of Designer Ipad Sleeves. They use a mixture of hand dyed leather with 3MM Merino Felt Wool. Unique Designs for Apple Ipad, Nook Color, Kindle 3G, and Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Eco friendly cases are also an option!! Found this post with a good list. :) I ordered the Boxwave!

I’ve been using a product called iBallz that serves to protect my iPad from oops moments, even when it’s outside of its case and in use! Yet iPads, with installed iBallz, fit comfortably inside transportation cases, for additional protection. The four foam balls that secure on the corners of the device serve to protect it by absorbing the shock, if you happen to be clumsy like me. I had to buy a replacement screen and pay for labor to fix it, but this is much cheaper! I ordered mine here: http://www.iballz.info/ They even have an associated installation video, so you can make sure that they are on correctly and see the various configurations that this product offers.
Just came across a new design that looks really cool called the Bumabook. Saw it on a Facebook site and I plan to register for the case based on the uniquness and of the high quality this case provdes.
The case so cool ,i also got one from here:

I really dig the folio style cases for ipad. Is anyone familiar with Portenzo? They have a gazillion custom options to design your cases. I’m looking for the right case for my iPad 2. Any suggestions? http://www.portenzo.com
I would recommend the portenzo case for several different reasons. It is a high quality product. You can choose from many custom options and styles. It is hand made here in America, and you can tell it's a good quality.
I really like those cases. I'm really interested in notebook style cases for my iPad. My favorite choice so far are the Portenzo cases! I've read fantastic product reviews, but I wanted to get feedback from some people that own one. Any suggestions? www.portenzo.com
