They have been looking pretty beat up for awhile and I have been searching for a more durable solution. For storage in the kitchen and other messy areas you need something that will stand up to frequent use and especially that can be wiped down when the inevitable spills and spatters occur. Here are some kitchen friendly storage options that would also work in any high traffic space that needs a little organization.
1. Locker Basket from Land of Nod, $16.95
2. Carry All Grid Basket from The Container Store, $14.99
3. Chrome Wire Storage Basket from The Container Store, $16.99
4. Mesh Stacking Kitchen Bin from Bed Bath & Beyond, $12.99
5. Dot Basket from The Container Store, $5.99 - $8.99
6. LEKMAN Box from IKEA, $9.99
7. Metal Drawer from Target, $5.99

Howard Butcher Bloc...
Love the locker baskets and the Carry All Grid ones from the Container Store!
Wow! Great idea for carrying all the ping pong paddles we have. Thanks, AT!
You can find some nice looking plastic (and sometimes metal) boxes and bins at the Dollar Store for, well, $1. ;)
It's so hard to find good bins that aren't fabric or some kind of wicker which really doesn't hold up over time, especially in the kitchen... These are great options. Thanks for hunting them down for us.
the ikea lekman is cheap indeed at $9.99 but the sides are not strong enough. It will definitely work if you're storing soft toys.
More storage totes on sale ($15) at Urban Outfitters. These would be great for bottles or jars, especially ones you'd need together (i'm thinking all my baking supplies -cups, teaspoons, sugar, flour - in one place so I can pull the whole lot out at once).
