We spent the weekend a little cooped up inside the house so we started going back through LA house tours and picking out some of our favorite outdoor spaces to share. Some are large (and in charge) and some are simple balconies, some drought tolerant, some verdant. Take a peek and see if you don't end up inspired by some of these real people's gardens:

.Philips Indiana Jones is a moroccan palace in the heart of Venice beach.
.Laure's Constant Change: This is my old balcony with some simple pots filled with succulents. I lived on the second floor so carrying big pots willed with dirt somewhat limited me. I spraypainted those chairs (I also shared with balcony with the next door neighbor so I didn't want to get too crazy. It was enough to keep me busy on saturday mornings.
.Jora and Bryan's Midcentury Organic Remodel down in San Diego needed to be drought tolerant and water wise, so a mixture of succulents, cactus and native plants turned their hillside into a modern planting bed.
.Sam's Sidney Simplicity packs a bold punch in a tiny space. Mod, bright and comfy.
.Sara Lov's Los Feliz Charmer doesn't have a huge outdoor space, but she's made the most out of it creating a spot for entertaining and relaxing.
.Debbie and Olivier's One Window House: Another Venice house, this time designed by architects who wanted lots of light. Their whole downstairs is made up of glass walls so the garden planted outside has become their privacy screen.
.Mara and Michael's Spanish Transformation is planted with drought tolerant plants with an eye towards being dog friendly.
.Maria's Oh So You Bungalow was such a hit it ended up being featured in Domino Magazine. Her fun colors and small space definitely had us swooning.
.Kelly's Modern Craftsman was one of the most popular house tours. Kelly's work as an interior designer really shined throughout her home and her garden is no exception.
.Sherry and Miguel's Marvimom House is a renovated warehouse that the couple has transformed into an amazing indoor/outdoor space with living walls and giant windows.
