Hotel bedrooms can be inspirational, out of the ordinary, or over the top, but we love to look at them as sources of ideas for our own homes. Sometimes they're a little too glam or designy to be really relatable, but the ones we've compiled here all shared a simple, understated style that could easily translate into a concept for a home bedroom.

the bedding in the third photo (the olde bell inn) is really perfect. i'd love to own something like that.
ps. the third and fourth images don't match up with the descriptions below. they've been swapped.
Must 'simple and serene' mean colorless?
what could be more colorful then the hotel holos shot, and still give a simple and serene feel? if you check the rest of the photos from this hotel you'll see that they're all fairly colorful and serene.
Thanks for noticing the ordering issue, jick! It's been corrected.
simple and serene doesn't mean colorless, but i don't think most people would consider a riot of color serene (nor appropriate in a bedroom). i think these rooms all strike a nice balance.
Oh my GOD I want a vacation!!!
Emily, I feel you!
The second-to-the-last one...oh my god. Can I have it?
clampers.. agreed! that second to lsat pic is AMAZE!
Too much white for moi.
Very nice. I love the soft colors, especially the ones with the very calm, geometric addition of a single color.
I've seen that window nook/bed before and LOVE it and the view!!!
