Shaw's Original Fir...
The sheet music paper is gorgeous! What a great idea :)
I love the word search paper! But Id probably wrap it wrong and lose the word. hahaha
I love to use non-christmas paper. That way I can use it year round AND my pink polka dot paper can stand out amongst the red and green. hahaha
target has a roll of premium wrap with the woodgrain they are selling this year similar to the one here
These are great! I bought most of my wrapping paper this year from goodwill for $1 a roll. They're still brand new but the designs have faded and aged well.
I'll admit I'm cheap with certain things and wrapping paper is one of them. I find it such a waste to spend high dollars on something that is going to be torn and thrown away. I decorate butcher or the paper movers use to wrap your breakables. Brown paper bags work well or anything I have lying around that I can re or up cycle.
To comment on the wrapping papers: I would purchase the red and white one with the animals and frame it to put out durin the holidays. The one with the cab carrying the Christmas tree is nice nostalgic.
As a side note, Target has a roll of wrapping paper by Rodarte (part of it's Neiman marcus collection) that is black with the moon printed on it. Not exactly holidays paper, but man was it great!
I don't wrap too much these days, and I tend to get something multi-functional like a plain colored foil or holographic design. But I do fall in love with some papers and watch for them in the after Christmas sales. A couple of years ago it was a Hallmakr paper with a pearl white background featureing springs of realistic holly with red ribbons. Very festive. I got a couple of rolls at 70% off and am almost finished using them.
This year, because I've had a few lackluster holiday seasons pass, I decided to go all-out and I got some very fancy wrapping papers and ribbon, including that woodgrain one. It will make me and my roommates feel special everyday for 2-3 weeks walking passed a tree with very fancy-looking gifts underneath. I don't splurge on holidays often, but sometimes, it's just the right thing to do. I really like that crossword paper too, may get that for another holiday.
I just said that same thing to my coworker. I love that paper. Much cheaper than Container Store.
Mr Boddingtons Studio has some fabulous paper also, http://shop.mrboddington.com/collections/holiday/wrapping-paper
I love the 1973 paper!! This year I had the idea to use my son's artwork to make custom wrapping paper - I think it came out great. See my pics/description here: http://www.samplesalemom.blogspot.com/2013/01/custom-wrapping-paper-featuring-your_19.html
