Although it seems like bath-time toy storage would be a rather universal concept, each bathroom and more specifically bath tub and shower is different from the next. This opens up a Pandora's box of storage options — some are big and some are small, some are tall and some hang on the wall. Before we go all Dr. Seuss on you, check out some of our favorites after the jump.
First Row, Left To Right
• Small Handled Folding Crate: $9.99 from The Container Store, this small tote can go into the water time and time again. Folds for easy storage when not in use as a toy bucket!
• Frog Pod: $23.99 from Target, this frog pod scoops up toys and holds all your bathtime needs all in one!
• Tubby: $19.99 from Target, this stretchy pouch has open sides that let water though while still keeping all your whales and snails inside! Read more on Tubby here.
• Colanders: They work to strain out water in the kitchen, so why wouldn't they work well in the bath? Available in almost every color and price point imaginable! See what we had to say previously about them here.
• Trap Door Bin: $8.99 from Oragnize.com. This device has a trap door that drops all the toys into the water at once. We can hear the giggles from here, but we're still unsure how we feel about a metal cage in the bathtub with our little ones. Have you ever used one of this nature?
Second Row, Left To Right
• Tub Hub: $10.95 from One Step Ahead. This unit sits on top of your tub keeping all the toys little ones could need at arms reach with zero temptation to stand to reach more!
• Tub Hub Corner Organizer: $9.95 from One Step Ahead. Making use of the corner, this unit keeps toys under control with a trim profile.
• Bug Pod: for $23.79 from Target. Like it's four legged green friend above, this water strainer, toy collector and all around cute bath storage idea comes in red and pink lady bugs (for the girly girls!).
• Kuster Pail: $24.99 from Chulamama. Just a simple pail can do the trick. If you're not into animal shapes or something that hangs on the walls, this one is easy to fill, drain and tuck under the sink when it's time for grownups to shower!
• Mesh Folding Cubes: starting at $6.99 (for something that holds more than 1 toy) from the Container Store. These cubes collapse and let water drain right out and fast! No waiting for drips, just load it up and hoist it on out of the bathwater!

I use a mesh bag that came in a pack of 4 at the dollar store. After bath time, the kiddos put their toys in, pull the string to close it, and hang it from the faucet in the tub. It doesn't take up any room like a basket would and technically, it was only 25 cents!
I keep a wicker basket between the toilet and the tub. At the end of bath time, I pick up the basket and rest it on the side of the tub, and pull the plug to drain the water from the bath. The kids have to race the water. Can they get all the toys out before the water is gone? They love the game and don't fight the end of bathtime at all this way. I've had the wicker basket for years. I think it came as part of a 3 piece set for around $9.
Love my Boon ladybug!
We have a turtle that hangs on the wall that's made by Munchkin. We love it! It doesn't take up floor space (we don't have any) and it lets them completely dry without getting something else wet. I've also heard very good things about the Tubby one too.
I have similar mesh folding cubes from the Container Store, and I wouldn't recommend them for tub use. The top piping on mine has separated from the rest of the cube, and I have hardly used it. I think it would be even worse if it were used often, if it got wet, or if it were used to pull up a heavy load (water plus toys).
We registered for the Boon frog as a shower gift and had it up in our old house. Couldn’t get the hook that adheres to the tile on the surround to come off when we moved, so we only used it for a few months before we moved. Now what do we do with the big plastic frog!?! I should mention our new house has a claw foot tub so there is no surround to put it on anyway. But what a bummer. Love some of the other suggestions!
I use a mesh drawstring bag too. My daughter has fun putting all the toys in it right before she gets out of the bath.
I have a bamboo bath tray and keep all the toys on that. I also don't keep mounds of toys out at once, but only what will fit neatly on the tray. It's a cute solution and the tray does double-duty for when adults are taking baths :)
abby1116, we also had that problem with the frog. The suction didn't work and the stickies that came with the frog didn't work. No matter what we did, it would fall. Here's my tip: Get some of those 3M tabs for the removeable hooks. You can get just the sticky tabs from Container Store or Target. We bought some of those as a last ditch effort about a year ago and the frog has stuck tight to the wall ever since. Works perfectly and you can pull them off easily later when you don't want to use it anymore. Don't know what 3M puts in those but they work great. I think their official name is "Command Strips". Very cheap though. No more than $3.
We had a boon frog and it didn't fit some of our odd shaped toys. It also wouldn't stay on the wall (although I see someone has posted about the command hooks which is a god idea.
I saw the Kuster Pail online somewhere, thought about a kind of rubber/plastic pail with handles I had and then drilled some holes in the bottom. It is a squatter shape than the Kuster, holds our akward toys, is the same colour as our bathroom and didn't cost £25. (I think the pail was £2 originally).
We use a big, colorful mesh bag from the Container Store -- came w/ strong suction cups, holds a lot. Cost about $9.99, just saw the same EXACT thing @ TJ Maxx for $2.99.
