10 Techy Kitchens From House Tours

Roundup

We love seeing how others incorporate technology into their homes. Looking at how flawlessly wires are managed and how tech is artfully integrated always serves to inspire us. Since it is Kitchen and Bath month here at Unplggd, we have decided to dish out some inspiration in the flavor of techy kitchens.

These 10 kitchens are gleaned from the archives of Unplggd, as well as Apartment Therapy and of course, TheKitchn. Our roundup includes kitchens both large and small and we hope that you find them as inspiring as we do.

  • Casa Familia located in San Diego, California is a coastal remodel designed with home technology and energy efficiency at the core of its character. The technology rich home employs a wide assortment of smart design choices to reduce energy (-65%) and water consumption (-55%).
  • Jon's East Sussex Apartment contains an impressive array of tech. Jon's favorite part of his home is the kitchen which he spent awhile designing the layout of, wanting to create something that looked a bit different with the floating breakfast bar and vertically protruding taps.
  • Chittagong's Modern Tech Home in London is small, cool, and stylish. Chittagong's eye for clean, simple, and functional style is seen in every area of the home, including, the kitchen.
  • Gallery Kitchen by Anna Irinarchos is not technically from a House Tour, but we could not stomach omitting this gorgeous techy kitchen! This well designed space beautifully organizes the kitchenware and quietly spotlights a few choice pieces thanks to its open recesses and built-in LED lights.
  • Art and Chelsea's Chicago kitchen is airy, open, and filled with great techy appliances. Some of our favorite appliances in this kitchen include the refrigerator by Liebherr and the Fisher and Paykel dish drawer dishwasher. Oh and did we mention that the floor in between the island and sink is heated by Sun Touch radiant heating?
  • Stefanie & Luke's Brooklyn Limestone home is over a 100 years old. For the past 3 years, Stefanie & Luke have painstakingly restored every original detail they could while renovating their home. After the renovation was complete, Stefanie chose to finish with modern appliances and decorative accessory pieces that have a vintage flair to them.
  • The Canal Apartment located in Paris, contains one of our favorite triple threat kitchen appliances. This appliance combines a cooker, oven and dishwasher all in one unit, helping to make this apartment a great example of space efficiency without compromise in amenities or details.
  • Glen's Gothenburg Apartment is a home in which practically every corner is filled with technology. Thanks to Glen's superb integration of the technology, his home does not even remotely resemble a Best Buy. The tech of course does not stop at the kitchen and we love the appliances and lighting that he has selected.
  • Tia and Mikko's Masterplan located in Southern Finland showcases great modern Scandinavian style. This light filled apartment contains sleek appliances from Bosch, and a stylish Espresso machine by Isomac.
  • Jann and KP's Redhill Apartment is located in Singapore and was designed by Studio SKLIM. The design of this home capitalizes on useful components and incorporates them into the home, making for a highly functional and efficient space. This efficiency extends to the kitchen which has a unique wet/dry layout.
