You have probably seen the mason jar lights, but have you seen a mason jar used for a terrarium? I remember my mom canning peaches in mason jars. Who would have ever guessed that they would become such a popular commodity for decorative purposes. I personally like the Mason Jars because of their nostalgia, light blue tinted glass, and their classic design.
A few of my favorite uses for the Mason jars are the drink dispenser, terrarium, and the outdoor path light. Next up on the list would have to be the mason jar sconce. I love its industrial and innovative appeal. In my opinion, original furnishings are what really completes a home.

Sprout Side Table
adore mason jars! love these ideas! Thanks for sharing. I've gone mason Jar potty lately. Everything in my pantry is now in a mason jar (labelled with my beloved p touch). I posted some pics of them a few weeks back on my post 'our kitchen re-model'. m x
I make yogurt in a quart-size jar every week. I heat up the milk to boiling, let it cool to a little over body temperature, and pour it into the jar with a few spoonfuls of last week's yogurt. Let it sit in a warm place overnight, and presto: yogurt.
I adore too!
I use mine for homemade salad dressing. Got so sick of those salad dressing mixing vessels, none of them see to work.
I also use for leftovers taken to work for lunch (the little ones are great for dressings, sauces and sour cream).
And yes, used as storage in pantry and fridge.
How often do you have to change the lids? I wash mine with soap and dry them in the sun.
I save the mason jars from Classico pasta sauce. The labels come off really easily and they're the perfect sized Mason brand jars underneath.
I store bulk dry goods in my jars.
I also fill them with freshly squeezed juice & ice, then screw the lids on and carry them around with me as my water bottle.
I've also made yogurt in them, as Julia mentioned.
beautiful.
