Ah, the freezer. It might just be our favorite piece of kitchen tech—keeping food fresh, cold and spoil-free. But there are ways to get more out of this household appliance (and spend less while you do it!)

We love the hint about freezing old plastic bottles full of water to keep a steady temperature in the freezer so you limit the power needed to keep it cold! Plus, did you know you can temporarily revive a hard drive by freezing it for a day?
