Name:Eli, 4 1/2 months oldLocation:Silver Spring, MDWhy I chose these colors for the nursery:
My husband loves grey/black. I love color. Our son, Eli Grayson, falls somewhere in the middle. We chose to use a neutral grey color for the walls and 'paint' the room with colorful fabric accents. We wanted a color theme for the nursery that was unique and unexpected - anything but soft pastels of pink and blue. Lime-green & cherry orange with royal-blue & golden-yellow accents were chosen because of their color interaction and vibrancy. We wanted to welcome Eli Grayson into a colorful world filled with bright dreams – with a little help from a robot now and then.
Two Good Color Tips:
1. Opposites attract - just like couples, colors used together that you wouldn’t usually think 'go-together' often make a positive effect. Lime-green and orange for a nursery? yes!
2. What mood do you want to be in? - Choosing a color for a room is often a decision of what type of mood you want to be in while inhabiting the space. For the nursery, we knew we wanted to be happy, so we chose colors that were bright, warm and unexpected.
