15 Easy to Make Robots

Instructables

We love DIY projects and creating objects and devices from items we have around our homes, so it is no surprise that we are all over this beginning robot making guide from Instructables. Of course, since it a guide meant for beginners, these projects are also fantastic to make with kids!

5 of our favorites from the 15 projects in the Instructables guide:

1) Pocket Drunken Robot: This adorable swaying (hence the name) robot from Grathio is made using a pager motor, sheet tin, and an AG13 button cell battery.

2) Blinky the LED Pet: Although it might look complicated, this project by Ynze takes only a few hours of your time and costs about $16 to make.

3) The BeetleBot v2: A revision on his earlier work, Robotmaniac insists that v2 is so easy to make, it's foolproof.

4) The Robotty: This robot sculpture by Seligtobiason lights up with LEDs and uses objects found around the house or at local hardware and craft stores.

5) Your First Real Robot: You can see this robot by Fritsl in action in the above video. Fritsl insists that his tutorial is the easiest way to get started in building robots.
