Nomade Express Slee...
Maria's Red & Cream Dutch Kitchen is my favorite out of all of these. Too many white and open shelving kitchens for my taste. I realize this is a personal perference. I felt a warm and cozy feeling looking through Maria's entry.
Again, personal opinion, I feel it's unfair (what do you think?) to add owners. They can remove; remodel to make it their own but I think it's more of a challenge to work with what you already have.
Okay...off the soap box.
Some of those kitchens are pretty big. (New Yorker speaking here.)
Yeah, I was looking forward to getting some small-space rental kitchen tips, but man, compared to my duplex rental kitchen, most of those are downright palatial. Good stuff there, though! Definitely looking forward to more rental and more teeny - possibly cubby-hole-type - kitchen goodness.
@ Lyonstill: I agree with your suggestion and made a similar one during the regular Small, Cool contest. I thought it was unfair to have whole-house remodels judged against decor changes. Especially in rentals. I don't care WHERE the house is located. I care how much money and time was put into the job
Some of these aren't small by any means. By "small" do they mean lack of counter space? Because that seems to be a design issue rather than a lack of square footage issue. And if Ryan or Jennifer's kitchens are small then exactly what size kitchen would be consider normal size?
