Using Online Inspiration To Help Define Your Nursery Style

Nesting a Nursery

My husband and I are planning our first nursery. We know we want a space that's both baby-friendly and design-conscious. We want to integrate artwork we already own and a few pieces we've had in mind. The space needs to flow with the other bedrooms in eyeshot on the second floor and steer clear from pastels. It was only after spending time poking around online looking at nurseries created by others that we clearly defined these goals.

As we thought about the space we are transforming into a nursery, we first sought out inspiring images and inspiring rooms online. This process has helped us identify our nursery must-haves as well as the elements we are drawn to like colors, lighting and different design aesthetics.

Here are 15 nurseries that are inspiring us from the Apartment Therapy archives — check out their fresh color palettes and unique space saving solutions! I've also created a Pinterest board where I'm keeping inspirations along the way.

Join me on my journey to transform a blank 100-square-foot room into a cozy, eco-friendly nursery.
