Small Cool Extras are entries that for one reason or another did not qualify to be in the contest but that we think are worth sharing all the same.
Name: John
Location: San Francisco
Size & Type: 460 sq. ft. studio
Favorite resources: craigslist, apartment therapy and this amazing
book, Living Large in Small Spaces.
Pitch: The smallness poses no restrictions. If you were to experience this studio in person, there's something for all the senses.

Pitch Cont'd: I am able to dress this small environment (built in the 20's) in different ways but with a contemporary feel. My bed and sofa, for example, have lived on every wall and the open plan/loft-feel of the space allows me many different looks.

Your favorite element: The old 20's style wrought-iron
windows and the fact that I don't have to have any treatments on them
based on the height of the building.

Wow, a floor plan would really help this one out.
Do they have two of the same sofa, one in each room, or did they rearrange and take more pictures?
Regardless, I like the clean and spare look of this space.
Great use of small space, especially the office area.
-just one sofa. two different examples of the same space. the room you see is 12' x 24'. (i was away on an unfortunate family emergency and wasn't able to submit a floor plan.)
