Pitch: I’ve tried to create a space that maximizes the assets of my 483 square foot apartment where I work and live. By experimenting with color, lighting, furniture and smart use of space, I’ve created both a workplace and comfortable home. It’s a soothing mix of clean modernism, thrift store elements and eBay finds. Playing up vintage details like the tile, moldings and wood floor, shows off my apartment’s personality and balances the contemporary décor. My home is a story that has evolved over time in a space that has grown with me—and that’s what I think is really cool.

White Enamel Flatwa...
FANTASTIC! I love this. Spare but not devoid of personality. Smart and very stylish. I especially love the white book case in the living room and the color of the kitchen. Brilliant.
wow, i really like the kitchen! I love the table on the wall too, I like that it's got curves....those square ones are so boring!
however....I don't like the combo of the schmancy curtains and the rest of the place.....they look too 'done' for the whole place, esp next to the red chair...looks like Park Ave met the laundromat chair....
I like it overall though, props!
I dig the sofa. Vintage?
mike, can you give me more info on the wall mounted table in the kitchen? i would love to do something like that...
The colour of the kitchen cupboards isn't soothing for me but I think it's mainly the curtains above the sink that I'm not sold on. Curious: What's the screen in the corner of your living room hiding? Is it a screen?
The kitchen makes me smile.
Lookey likey! Fee ;-)
Nice kitchen.
Wow. I am so amazed at all the cute guy places in this contest. I never dated a guy that had such a cute place. Where are all these guys?
You made great use of your space. I love your sofa. The fabric is beautiful. The drapery fabric is also beautiful. I really love that spare bookcase. I have been searching and searching for the perfect bookcase. Could you tell me the source of your bookcase?
Love the fold-down table in the kitchen with the black stool and black fan.
Once again I voted insta-finalist for someone who really doesn't need anything! Your place is perfect.
Is that the same green paint in all the rooms? It moves from the kitchen wall, to the bedroom, then runs along the baseboard trim & hops onto those fat blinds. Good stuff. Then black accents/details in all 3 pix. So nice. I very much want to see the bathroom & the work area.
Good Luck.
Awesome kitchen cabinets. LOVE the yellow. :)
love this place. and i really like the peacock piece behind your bed-- the kitchen is perfect, the living is a great mix of styles, and the bedrooms seems really confortable. my only dislike is the combo of the drapes, the sheets, and the decor in the bedroom...seems like a lot going on...
i'm voting finalist!
Love the vintage kitchen but it seems a bit dark to me, perhaps the photo was taken at night? I'd also like to see some curtain-y thing instead of just blinds but each to his own!
I wish my boyfriends apartment looked like this, ha!
heart heart heart.
you should enter the at kitchen contest!
This place is so money you don't even know...
Christopher,
What do you mean by "this place is so money...?"
The kitchen is so awesome. You've almost recreated a photo out of a 1950s design magazine. Awesome. I like the lamp in the living room and the art over the bed too.
Scott897: You have not seen the movie "Swingers," then? Full of colorful slang. :) An example:
Trent: Baby, that was money! Tell me that wasn't money.
Mike: That was so demeaning.
Trent: She smiled, baby.
Mike: I can't believe what an a**hole you are.
Trent: Did she, or did she not smile?
Mike: She was smiling at what an a**hole you are.
Trent: She was smiling at how money I am, baby.

Where did you get your kitchen table?
I love your place, full of character and no discernible IKEA furniture in sight!
Very nicely curated! The MCM touches aren't obvious nor common pieces, and what's there are offset with earthy, quirky details, and it looks like a nice home to live in, not necessarily a magazine layout.
oh my god i love the kitchen.
I lOVE that white space saving table. Where oh where did you find it?
we all want to know where you found the kitchen fold down table!
i've been searching far & wide and can only find ONE at ikea which you can't order online and i live nowhere near an ikea!!
help!
