Pitch: "My boyfriend's job was transferred recently; and we went from owning to renting. With a 100 lb. Doberman-mix, few places wanted us. We found home in a 1920 s bungalow and its small well, cozy."

Pitch Cont'd:"To save space we created a library/bedroom. The office is multifunctional: it s a guest bedroom-music studio-office. Our living room features a dining area, partitioned with a bookcase. Almost everything in my 618 sq. feet is D.I.Y. From original art, to reupholstered chairs, I created this space from scratch. "

shots of the Dining, Bath or Kitchen for would've been more inspiring for me....
I'd also want more color and light....but looks nice.

...yes, so where are they?
Yeah, why did you not show your favorite element of the place? Otherwise... sterile.
I like your art alot - very urban. They gray walls are also nice. I've been admiring that color lately. One thing that could've helped liven it up for me would be fresh flowers. Magazines often use this trick (of course, they employ people just to stage houses for photo shoots, too).
Unfortunately these pictures make the house seem like a basement apartment. I would also have liked to see the kitchen or another living room shot rather than two bedroom pictures.
I've noticed with basically all the submissions so far that the photography skills REALLY make a difference. I realize that this isn't a photography competition, but it's unrealistic to think that people's opinions won't be swayed by the presentation.
Yeah guys where the light? I love the bedspread! where is it from? A nice clean urban look. I agree that bringing some more organic elements: plants, flowers, some wood - will bring just a little needed warmth.
Agree, photography plays a big part but I am not talented in that area either. Not quite my style but I love it all the same. The space looks very cozy and relaxing and I'm sure it's great in person. I love the artwork on the bedroom walls.
Id love to see a picture of the bungalow!
Your art is fantastic. And the bedrooms both look very chic. Love the angling of the bookcase in #2.
I'm not sure where the square footage disappeared to when she measured internally, but a 30x22 space is 660 square feet. And that would be larger than allowed in this contest.
Great looking room. Did you get any specific bedding set?
Wndl I think it's because the hall/staircase from the outside is actually in between the kitchen and the bedroom1. I may be wrong, but that's how it looks to me on the floorplan.
