In its latest catalog, Design Within Reach announced it has dug up some 1970s Verner Panton designs from the Panton estate and brought them back into production. What do you think of the "System 1-2-3" chairs, the Panton Dining Table and the Panton Rug?
System 1-2-3 Chair. Panton spent three years developing this series, which has been "rescued" from the Panton Estate archives and brought back into production by DWR. Features brushed aluminum swivel base; form-pressed cantilevered wood frame; and foam padding. $1,125.
System 1-2-3 Chair in leather, $1,925.
Panton Dining Table. This table from 1965 remained a prototype and was not put into production until now. Steel frame; aluminum shell; laminate top. $2,495.
Panton Rug. Panton also designed textiles for the Swiss firm Mira-X. To create this textile, Panton used a "burnt-out" process. Made from 100% New Zealand wool. $2,500.
