I love spatterware! It's vibrant...folky....and has humble beginnings. The patterns make me smile with all the colors (my favorites...reds, yellows and blues). Antique pieces are very pricey, though. Those are the ones made in England. You may get some more recent pieces reasonably, made in Belgium, I think. A collection of spatterware is very striking.
Nothing looks better than a Stick spatter/ spatterware or simply a spongeware collection (as they call it in England) in a country home/kitchen. See my own collection at http://countryantiques.org/
