We all know by now that paint can be your best friend when it comes to revamping the look of a room on a budget. This nursery shows us two great ways paint can totally transform a room.
First up, the crib. If you're not happy with the manufacturer's crib color, or if you're trying to change the look of a hand-me-down, painting it a bold color can do the trick. Another great use of paint in the room is the black chalkboard paint on the wall behind crib. The dark color adds drama and makes a place for an ever-changing display of art (on the cheap). Shaw's Original Fir...
Cute, sure...but I'm not sure how I feel about creating chalk dust in an infant's room.
Very cute! I was considering a blackboard paint job on some closet doors in the nursery.
yeah..the chalk dust would be a huge problem. I have a tiny blackboard hanging in my dining room and it dusts up everything near it. This is cute but just not practical
It's not a problem if you use a wet cloth to clean it with vs. a chalkboard eraser. You should try it. It might help your dining room out.
you can always the "barista" chalk. it's like a wet marker that is dustless and doesn't wipe off without getting wet, first. it's amazing.
OH, I love the idea of painting the whole wall in chalkboard paint and sticking some frame decals up there (like in the picture). I recently found white chalkboard paint at the craft store which I plan to use it my kitchen (pricey though - so I'll just be making a small chalkboard). They also had green, pink, and a really pretty blue. You could even do different colored stripes or dots. Fun!
And Barista chalk is the awesome-est!
