Why I use color: I use color to get attention, create a space, and to enhance objects in a room. The use of color really makes objects visually pop. Color can also separate/unify by balancing the positive and negative space in a room or around an object.
For this bathroom, I wanted make the natural wood cabinets stand out by using a chocolate brown color. The brown really makes the white in the bathroom POP.
2 good color tips:
1. If at first you don’t succeed (with the right color),try and try again.
2. Test the color with the lighting you are going to use. That makes a big difference.

What an amazing bathroom you created, and you built the furniture too?! That is truly admirable. Definitely saved this one in the inspiration folder.
The colors and textures work so well together, each one flatters the other that I didn't even realize until after my initial awe that the palette of colors used was quite small. I love the way the white pops against the deep brown, and how the wood warms up what in many other circumstances would feel like a cold porcelain box. This goes to show it's not about how many colors you have, it's how you use them.
Love this look, especially the flooring, its so rich and clean against the dark chocolate color. Can you tell me what kind of flooring tiles you used?
Brown in the bathroom! How ironic. Oh, but I'm not knocking it. This entry is superb. I also second the comment somewhere above about 'color'. This entry isn't exactly colorful, but it sure looks like perfect use of color, period. LOVE it.
Instead of trying to hide the white ceramic, this bathroom really makes the white pop! And the room itself feels soothing.
