20+ Reasons to Travel with Zippable Plastic Bags

Sure, we like reducing plastic in our lives as much as the next guy, but Ziplocs tend to make the exceptions list when we travel. I like to use one as a water / sand resistant purse while building sand castles on the beach. Filling a zippable bag with damp mini washcloths is a great substitute for store bought wipes too. One of our favorite family travel blogs, Delicious Baby, has posted 22 travel-related ideas for the Ziploc lover; from impromptu barf bag to dry erase pen activities for the kids. Its usefulness is endless really.

To reduce the wastefullness aspect of these zippies, I've been known to toss them in the washing machiine inside out to give them a new lease on life. Once they are out of the washer, I hang them to dry, and store them in our luggage ready for the next trip. Oh, except for the impromptu barf bag. Sorry Mother Nature. That one's on you.

Pop over to Delicious Baby, to see her lengthy list. Have any tips to add? We'd love to hear your favorite uses for the zippable plastic bag while out and about.
