I think the real story here is that a magazine as traditional as Southern Living is running a story like this. Usually the stories about houses feature enormo-opulent mansions, not advice on being green.
The last thing in their list is a machine that makes drinking water from air humidity - that is just brilliant for humid climates.
I'm with Jezabella -- I never thought Southern Living would feature an article on going green. What a great move forward! Next thing you know, they'll stop featuring recipes heavy on Campbell's soup!
