Next week begins the celebration of Chinese New Year, the most important and longest-lasting holiday in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Here in Singapore, decorations went up just as soon as the Christmas decorations came down. Festive swaths of red fabrics and gold decor, faux firecrackers and paper lanterns adorn every building and store. Signs of “happiness and prosperity” are everywhere as well as the 2011 mascot: the rabbit.
This Year of the Rabbit roundup showcases just a few examples of how you might incorporate this auspicious symbol into your home.
1. Bunny Vinyl Decals : $19 at HouseHoldWorks
2. Rabbit by Perch: $54 at Velocity
3. Mollaspace Rabbit Shot Glass: $28 at Velocity

Nice post! I also addressed "Harnessing Rabbit Energy" on my blog. I caution people to find more sophisticated rabbit images so that it's a more adult look. Kung Hei Fat Choi!
Do Jackalopes count? Perhaps they add a bit of whimsy to the happiness and prosperiety. (No idea why I have a small collection of Jackalope things in my home office, but I love them.) ;)
here in vancouver, we tend to celebrate robbie burns day at around the same time, so some have combined chinese new year and r.b.day. kung haggis fat choi!!!
put a "rabbit" on it!!!!
I never had a rabbit as a house pet. I wonder if they're as loveable as they look.
Sweet, my house rabbit just became a style statement.
Hahaha mannequingirl, you beat me to it. I wanted to say the same thing.
