Name: Fuyuen and Alex
Location: Atlanta - "Google says we're closer to Chicago?"
Type: Loft, owned - "Our first place"

Why I use color:
COLOR HAIKU:
color makes a place
truly a space of our own
renters rarely paint

2 good color tips:

1. Remember, white is a color too!

2. By using a neutral background, you can bring something special to the foreground with color. Using too many colors may diminish the impact of an item you'd like to feature.

2 good color resources:

1. One of the best uses of color in architecture is the Faaborg Museum in Denmark. It's a museum housed in a rustic building but it utilizes a startling sophisticated array of painted colors on walls to focus viewers'
attention on passages, hallways and thresholds. Unfortunately, there are very few pictures of this museum's interior that illustrate this wonderful use of color. If you ever get a chance to visit, it's well worth it. Here is a photo I took of it in 1999.

2. The Japanese Kimono.
